Yesterday the ten day countdown commenced! Excitement and anticipation is mounting everywhere we go. Brad's training has seen him pedal over 4000 kms in just this year! All those hours of training are about to be put into completing the 'real' ride, Adelaide to Perth! The time spent dreaming and planning this epic adventure is now on our doorstep. Can't wait to get out there on the Nullarbor!
The support crew have been very busy in the background making sure Brad's requirements for the trip are locked away. Sue is really excited as Ken's Castle (the name given to the Winnebago on loan to them) comes equipped with a washing machine! No sitting back and admiring the saltbush as we cross the Nullarbor, Sue can be busy making sure the crew are always looking respectable with their clean clothes on!
As the support crew drive away from Leeming on Sunday we will be very aware of the reasons behind the ride:
- Riding in memory of our good mate Mitch
- Riding for Mitch's courageous family and mates
- Riding to help improve the quality of life for the beautiful people living in Seraya
