Accustomed to early starts and waking up neighbours, we
set off again at 5am. It wasn't long after a stunning sunrise that we came
across a large sign reading, 'Start of 145.6 km Straight Road!' An accurate sign
indeed, one which Brad will enjoy being photographed of at the beginning but
probably more so at the end! The Castle and Shack have shared the road with
some impressive company, V8 Supercars making their way west to the next round
of the championships. Kristy, you'll be envious as one of the teams we passed
belonged to Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup from Triple 8 Racing!
No complaints about our lunch time setting....the
spectacular coast line of the Great Australian Bight! Will make a good shot
with a Giant bike perched at the top in eleven days time.
We received word this morning about a very impressive
article,'Brad Sets Out on a Ride for A Mate' featured in today's West Australian. It's so
pleasing to know that MOAM is receiving the exposure it richly deserves. Mitch
would be rapt that the ride is now capturing attention from all forms of the
media.
