Thanks Adelaide!

In an earlier blog, I referred to ‘expect the unexpected’ and yesterday was another example of that. Libby Stone from Channel Nine Perth rang and requested the crew meet again at Colonel Light Monument as they wished to add a South Australian touch to the story being shown later in the evening. A great story Libby, watched by many and one in which hopefully will encourage people to follow Brad’s ride and donate to this magnificent cause.

The frenzy continued with Brad being a guest on Mark Ricciuto’s and Chris Dittmar’s Triple M afternoon radio show. Brad is at ease when being interviewed and soon had the crowd on his side. MOAM may not only return with a healthy total from donors but also bags of undies and bras! From here we went to the Rendezvous Hotel to meet Brian Taylor, who like so many people provided great inspiration to Brad. An unexpected bonus was Brian Taylor's invitation to Brad and Ken, to sit in the 3AW commentary box for the game between the Crows (definitely my 2nd favourite team,) and Collingwood. What an experience to meet and listen to expert commentary provided by Brian Taylor, Cameron Ling, Matthew Lloyd and Dwayne Russell!

Brad Sorting Out The Triple M Team

Meanwhile, the rest of the crew headed to ‘The Hill,’ to watch the big game. The newest Crow’s fans were quietly confident something ‘special’ was going to happen. At half time we noticed the infamous Joffa (the guy who dons the gold jacket after a Magpie win) walk past us. Feeling neglected by all the media attention Brad was receiving, we set ourselves the challenge to have a photo taken with him on his return. I pity the people standing near us because when he did return we pounced!

The best we could find in the outer!

Clearly distracted by all that was going on around us, we settled back to watching the game. There were no greater cheers than those coming from the new W.A. based Crow fan club when the final siren rang and the Crows had won! We could not have written a better script for the day nor our time in Adelaide. Mitch would have loved it all especially your ‘special’ photo Sue!

Adelaide, we can’t thank you enough for your friendship, hospitality and media interest in MOAM. We look forward to returning but in the meantime, GO THE CROWS!

A fairly significant MOAM date is not far away!

ps  photos will be uploaded once my computer wakes up!
